Content
In this program, multiple clinical cases showing horizontal ridge augmentation will be presented and explained, using clinical records, radiographs, models, and photographs. The criteria for the selection of materials and technologies, and alternatives, will be discussed as they are relevant to each case. At the completion of each case presentation, the clinical perspective will be summarized to include: key takeaways from the treatment; a discussion of the most successful aspect of the treatment; and how the same treatment type might be performed differently.
Goals
Understand the factors for achieving successful bone regeneration for implant therapy.
Appreciate the surgical steps for horizontal Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and their rationale.
Discuss the properties for various materials used in GBR procedures and rationale for their use.
Understand the potential complications following GBR procedures and how to manage them.
