VIRTUAL ON-DEMAND: Revision Therapy for Challenging Clinical Scenarios

Clinicians face many challenges which may compromise successful implant outcomes. Systemic conditions, various medications, and nicotine use may create situations which decrease implant success. Sites where implants have previously failed may be particularly problematic. Selection of the proper implant is crucial to achieving a positive result for patients. Multiple clinical case examples will be presented demonstrating optimal treatment for patients presenting with various, challenging clinical situations. The procedures will be presented and explained, using clinical records, radiographs, models, and photographs. The criteria for the selection of materials and technologies, and alternatives, will be discussed as they are relevant to each case. At the completion of each case presentation, the clinical perspective of the treating clinician will be summarized to include: key takeaways from the treatment; a discussion of the most successful aspect of the treatment; and how the same treatment type might be performed differently.
