Content
Custom milled block allografts, designed using CBCT and CAD/CAM technologies, present a promising alternative, minimizing morbidity, scarring, and surgical time. Clinical studies support their efficacy, making custom block allografts a valuable tool in implant dentistry, enhancing predictability and patient outcomes. Multiple clinical case examples will be presented and explained, using clinical records, radiographs, models, and photographs. The criteria for the selection of materials and technologies, and alternatives, will be discussed as they are relevant to each case. At the completion of each case presentation, the clinical perspective of the treating clinician will be summarized to include key takeaways from the treatment; a discussion of the most successful aspect of the treatment; and how the same treatment type might be performed differently.
